PC Miler Streets Features

PC*MILER|Streets is street-level routing, mileage and mapping software designed to provide dock-to-dock driving directions over truck-specific routes. It includes all the features and functionality of PC*MILER with an enhanced U.S. and Canadian street-level routing network. Ensure that your vehicles and loads get to the right place using the most precise route possible, taking into consideration truck-designated, preferred and restricted routes.

Nationwide U.S. and Canadian street-level map data with more than 6.37 million street-level miles, over 76,100 new additional miles, and over 30.2 million nationwide Canadian street addresses. Also includes over 2.89 million commercial truck restrictions and allowances.

Over 47,000 miles of new and updated truck restricted roadways;
includes bridge heights and clearances, load limits, weight limits and allowances, one-way road designations, left-hand and dangerous turn restrictions, urban road classifications, as well as truck-restricted, truck-designated and truck-prohibited roads.

Truck-specific toll costs by weight and axle for cash and discount toll program transactions for U.S. and Canadian lanes. (PC*MILER|Tolls purchase required.)

Light vehicle routing with custom dimensions. Enter vehicle dimensions for Height, Length, Width and Weight to generate optimal routes. (Maximum values are:
H 13’6’’; L 53’; W 120’ or more; Weight 132,000 lbs.)

Hazardous materials routing and map database includes restrictions and designations in the U.S. and Canada to generate Corrosive, Explosives, Flammable, General, Inhalants and Radioactives routes. (PC*MILER|HazMat purchase required.)

NEW! PC*MILER Intermodal Analysis. Calculate alternative rail intermodal routes between an origin and destination, allowing quick comparisons of truck vs. rail mileage, fuel consumption, and carbon emissions per route.

Generate routes based on Practical or Shortest routing parameters or further classify the route by combining these with Toll Discouraged, National Network, 53'/102'' Trailer or Hazardous Materials Routing.

Generate Detailed Driving Directions and State/Country Mileage
Summaries that include road clearance warnings and other truck restrictions within the turn-by-turn directions. Includes toll costs if PC*MILER|Tolls is installed.

Use the Location Radius tool for rate determination and operations planning to search for all locations in the database within a specified mileage radius around any location.

Calculate stop costs and driver break options for more accurate costs, travel and arrival times, and hours of service compliance.

Generate distances in Hub Mode to calculate routes and mileage from one origin to unlimited destinations.

PC*MILER|Fuel Optimization. Based on daily fuel prices, an optimized fuel plan is generated, providing fuel-efficient routes identifying where fuel is to be purchased within designated fueling networks in the most cost effective manner. (FuelAdvice.com account and an active Internet connection is also required.)

Web-based update tool provides easy access to download software patches and data updates released by ALK. (Requires an Internet connection.)

Year-2009 U.S. ZIP Codes and 822,975 six-digit Canadian Postal Codes
can be added as stops along a route. (Canadian Postal Code Data Add-On purchase required.)

U.S. DoD military installations and 112,400 Standard Point Location Codes (SPLC) can be added as stops along a route for rating and freight bill auditing. (SPLC Data Add-On purchase required.)

Locate over 590 State Weigh Stations, over 6,000 Comdata GeoFUEL truck stops and 1,174 CAT Weigh Scale Stations to plan your stops more effectively. Add these points as stops on a route or identify them on the map.

Locate 264 intermodal rail ramps throughout the U.S. and Canada, 129 IdleAire hookup locations, as well as 2,130 rest areas.
